Here's a thought.

Well, we are already four, almost five months into the new year. This of course means that we are almost half way through with it already. It doesn't seem that way does it? Time passes away like sands in an hour glass, you cannot slow it, cannot reverse it, and cannot stop it from it's rapid progression. All we can do is make the most of the time that is given to us in our lives. So, let me pose a question to you: How have you spent almost half a year which you will never get back, never see again? I am not talking down to you and trying to me sound like I am high and mighty, I am writting this mainly for myself; to take stock of my own life this year. I have not done a whole lot, in fact, I have been stupid and let fear keep me back from doing something I should have done months ago. So, learn from me, if you can. Do not let fear keep you from living your life; fear is always a constant, but if you can accept it, you can beat it. Realize that as time goes by, you will never get it back. Take a look at your life and see what you are living for. Will people see you wrapped up in yourself, as a very small package; or will they see you as someone who lived for something outside of yourself. Have you invested in someone other than yourself today? How is your time being spent? Wisely, or foolishly? Realize that time is the one thing you cannot get back or reverse no matter how hard you try. As stated by a wise man, in the book of Ephesians chapter fifteen verses fifteen through seventeen, "So, be careful how you live. Do not live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of evey oppotunity in these evil days. Don't act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do." Make the most of every day, and if you are looking for purpose and direction, and have not tried Christianity, true Christianity, give it a try. After all, what have you got to lose if Jesus is right and He is the source of true abundant life, the only thing you have lost is an unfulfilled life. If He is wrong, then you certainly won't have lost anything either. But, I encourage you to do as King David suggested, "Taste and see that the Lord is good." Let Him be your first choice instead of your last resort. After all, what's the worst that could happen? It might actually be the answer you have been seraching for.
